The first road-legal Huayra in the States – or is it a Koenigsegg?! Regular readers may remember we cast doubts on Pagani’s claim that the new Huayra would be US road legal back in 2011, when we revealed that Pagani’s plans to gain an exemption from fitting advanced airbags was denied. That meant Pagani had to go away and get the Huayra to conform with airbag regulations to make it legal to sell in the US, which Pagani promised to do and declared everything would be fine and they’d have the first road-legal Huayras Stateside by 2013.
The Hyundai ix35 - UK price and model detail released
Over the weekend we ran a report on the Hyundai ix35 prices that had been released in France, and were a bit surprised at how strong the prices seemed. We did caution that you couldn’t take the French prices and do a straight conversion as UK prices and Euro prices are different, and there was every chance that specifications would be different. The Smart electric car is to go in to limited production after recent trials
You won’t be surprised to learn that after Mercedes 10% stake in Tesla that it is Tesla who are to provide the batteries for the second generation Smart Electric Car. With this technology in place, the Smart EV gets a greater range, shorter charging times and better performance. The press release is big on quotes about the wonders of the Smart Electric, as you would expect.
